For a long time, life was hard for me. I no longer remember how long that difficult period lasted. For a long while, I could not accept the broken social order, my body in pain, or the endless overcast days. To escape reality, I began to write. Over the past year, I wrote 70,000 words. It felt exhilarating to live freely in an imagined world.

But when I began to create the same broken social order in my writing, to portray a protagonist’s body in pain, and to depict the same endless overcast days, reality and my invented world began to converge. Both I and the self I created in that world are rebelling, searching together for the new world we long for. This short film is one of the paths I am taking in that search.
