Synopsis
Three people embark on a mysterious journey of no return. As their world blurs and they lose their innocence, what’s left is the sobering impact of reality and survival.
Director's Note
This film focuses on growth, exploring the heartbreak, transformation, and loss of innocence that everyone experiences.
It is also a discourse on the creation of memories, the line between humans and gods, the meaning of existence, and the mythological metaphors and symbols of personal growth. Some characters are open to interpretation as non-human.
The plot weaves together a variety of genres and theatrical elements, including car chases, explorations of sexual fluidity, crime, dark themes, and cults. It is a profound contemporary film for the younger generation that combines modern aesthetics with Taiwanese style, rap, electronic music, and neon lights.
