Synopsis
In the autumn rain of the 1990s, two police officers enter remote mountains to find a man living in seclusion. Seven years ago, his wife Zhang Xue disappeared, and her body never found. Marked by an extramarital affair and suspected of murder, he withdrew into the wilderness. Years later, new evidence emerges, reopening the case and reviving memories tied to Zhang Xue.

Director’s Statement
Centered on the confusion and obsessions of China’s post-90s only-child generation, the film uses the search for lost objects as a starting point to explore the tension between young people’s aspirations for the future and their cherished memories of the past.
