Director's Note
The Fading of Morning Light grew from my experience of distance, loss, and the feeling of leaving home behind. After my family immigrated from Hong Kong to Canada, years of separation meant missing final moments with loved ones and carrying words left forever unspoken. I see ghosts not as figures of fear, but as a way of remaining in conversation with people, places, and times that no longer exist.
Through the imagined reunion between a father and his late daughter, the film creates a space for impossible conversations, where farewell, memory, and the idea of home can finally find closure.
